Off to Nevada to find former California businesses
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009Tomorrow, April 24, I will attend a California Legislative hearing being convened in Reno, Nevada by the Assembly Republican Working Group on Job Creation and Economic Recovery.
The purpose of the hearing is to interview actual businesses who left the state of California and chosen to do business in the State of California.
These businesses used to provide jobs in California, but because of legislative actions taken in recent years, they have fled for the friendlier confines of Nevada and other surrounding states. The California Legislature has been one of the biggest job creators for the State of Nevada since that State legalized gambling.
We’ll be meeting tomorrow at the Nevada Motor Transport Association, located at 8745 Technology Way, Suite E, in Reno, NV. Hearing is scheduled to convene at 10:00am and run to 2:00pm.
